The weather is getting warmer outside the window, and the holiday season is on the horizon. This means one thing, we have entered June, which in our case started with an excellently executed project to get feedback from you, our users. We emphasize at every step that user feedback and opinion is of the utmost importance to us, so at the beginning of June we decided to send out a satisfaction survey, and the quantity and quality of the responses that flowed in this survey was phenomenal.
We received a lot of data to analyze, ideas to implement in the tool, as well as elements for minor improvements. We immediately got to work and tried back in June to implement changes based on your feedback. We promised to reciprocate every response, so we’re doing that. And in the process, we’re working quietly on big new things. Let’s check it out.
We excluded closed and finished tasks from the calendar view ?♂️
Every change in IC Project is intended to make your work easier and better ? This time, after extensive feedback from our user satisfaction survey, we decided to exclude finished and closed tasks from the calendar view. This means that you can now focus in the calendar view on the deadlines of those tasks that you realistically have to do or are working on ?
This is a strategic decision to make your work easier and, above all, to make the calendar view even clearer. Finished and closed tasks could obscure those shuffles that needed special attention, hence the move we decided on ?
We hope that you will now be able to use the calendar even more effectively to keep track of all your work ?
New date range task view now available on calendar ??
This is the information that many people have been waiting for ? We are giving you a new view of tasks in a range of dates, between the start and end date of the task. This is the view available on the calendar in ICP. Until now, tasks on the calendar could only be seen on the day of their deadline. However, we have now introduced the ability to select the view between a date range and a specific deadline. All you need to do is change the task view on the calendar to ‘Range’ and each task will be stretched in time on the calendar view. This is a huge value in task-based work ?
To find the new feature, go to the calendar and look at the top right corner. Here you will find a new feature called ‘Task view’. It is here that you can select the appropriate view for the tasks shown on the calendar: range or deadline. Please note that by selecting scope, tasks will be stretched on the calendar between the start date and the scheduled due date. If you select a deadline, the task will appear on the day of its due date ✨.

New search engine now available ✨ Search for projects by project manager ?
We’re already putting a new project search option into your hands ? Feedback from users from all corners of the world was as follows: we need the ability to search for projects by project manager role. So there we have it, there you go! ?
At this point, when entering the project module, click on the advanced search icon (filter funnel in the top right corner) and you will find the ability to search for projects by project manager role. Let’s put this into practice. Using the new search engine, you will find all the projects of a particular manager in no time. You will see whether they are moving in the right direction, what stage they are at, or simply determine the current workload of your project managers. Remember that the new filter only applies to active project managers ?

We have recently updated the system interface. If you take a closer look, you will see small changes and differences in the context of icons, the left system menu and in several other places, for example, relative to the updated colors. This is not a major change from the user’s point of view, but we are informing you about it in order to be as transparent as possible. It’s an update that keeps us up to date with the latest technological possibilities, and it’s certainly important information in the context of the product and our development path.
All such changes and updates are intended to offer the latest possible solutions on a regular basis. We are sure you appreciate it ?
June is behind us, which brought a lot of changes based on user feedback.
